I wanted to thank each of you for your support this year. AMR art has grown over the past year more than I could ever expect. I am forever grateful. Without my sweet friends and fellow art lovers none of this would be possible. I am excited to see what 2010 has in store for us. I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. See you in 2010 - Amanda

I always get nervous posting paintings meant to be a gift. Worried I will spoil the surprise. This gift giver assured me the receiver would not check the blog.

Last week I bought Claire a roll of coloring paper. We have it stretched out over the coffee table so she can color on it and she loves it.

This morning we had this conversation:
Me: Claire that is a beautiful horse you drew. It looks great!
Claire: It's not a horse. It's a giraffe. {looking confused}
Me: Oh! what a great giraffe!
Claire: Daddy drew it.

drum roll please... and the winner is.....
I drew us five or six complete and different Christmas Cards this year. Finally, I had to just go with it! I think I slightly tortured my husband by tearing his eyes away from the game this weekend to look at yet another Christmas card.... five times! Some of you will be receiving this in your mailbox in the next day or so. Sorry, if you like surprises. I was very pleased with the quality of the printing. It was a bit of an experiment. I wanted to test run on my own Christmas card before I tried it on another. But for next year, I can do photo cards!

After teasing my sister a few weeks back about how many Christmas cards she ordered, it has come to my attention that I grossly under-ordered cards this year. Sorry! I'll do better next year!

I just love these. If (not when) I have another baby, I might have to steal the "Guess how much I love you" nursery idea. SO sweet!

Merry Christmas to All!!

Yard Art... :)
I did this for a friends yard. It's 36x60 and the largest painting I have ever done.

In the hustle and bustle of gift buying, tree decorating, and making things festive around here, I have been bad about posting. I hope you are getting into the Christmas Spirit!!
Here are the runners up to the great Christmas card photo contest. There is nothing like trying to get a three year old and one year old to sit still, look at the camera, and smile... together. Thank you to Aunt Julie for being so patient! I think we both broke a sweat.
